DREXEL PROJECTION

I am still pretty new to the whole Mid Century Modern world, even though I have been selling it for a few years now. I love getting pieces of furniture I have never seen before because they are usually pretty unique. I try to learn about pieces that have makers marks and do research on different styles that are unknown. We recently got a Drexel Projection double dresser. The Drexel Projection line was designed by John Van Koert in the 1950s. He wanted a masculine profile with the sharp silhouette and contoured corners. He used walnut wood and silver finished hardware. His designs for Drexel were in showrooms for Macy's and Bloomingdales. He was one of the main designers to bring Danish modern and Scandinavian modern designs to America.
